The Czech Social Democrats (CSSD) would win elections to the Chamber of Deputies, if held in November, with 29.1 percent of the vote, according to an election model the Factum Invenio polling agency presented today.
The Civic Democrats (ODS) would finish second with 26.7 percent, followed by the Communists (KSCM) and TOP 09 with 12.9 and 11.6 percent of the vote, respectively.
The last party to enter parliament would be the Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL), who would receive 5.5 percent of the vote, Factum Invenio said.
As a result, the CSSD would gain 75 seats in the 200-seat Chamber of Deputies, the ODS 64 seats, the KSCM 30, TOP 09 23 and the KDU-CSL 8 seats.
A total of 63.8 percent of voters would take part in the elections, the poll showed. The turnout would thus be almost the same as in the latest elections in June 2006, 64.5 percent.
Factum Invenio conducted the poll on November 5-11 on 969 people over 18.
